"Are you missing Sweet Kitty, or something else?" Sylvan Cheney's voice was low and smooth, his throat moved as he fixed his sharp gaze on her.
Jasmine Yale didn't dare to step off the sofa under his gaze, "I miss Sweet Kitty."
"Before the call, you said you'd go to Cakago with me, but right after the call, you changed your mind, didn't you?"
"Actually, I've been thinking all afternoon. I originally planned to go over there in the next couple of days." Jasmine's voice got quieter, lacking confidence.
"There's no pure friendship between a man and a woman. You don't really believe Yukon Carbon has no feelings for you, do you?" Sylvan leaned against the table, arms crossed, looking at her with his usual calm demeanor, though his eyes flickered slightly.
"Mr. Carbon isn't that kind of person." Jasmine furrowed her brows, "After he knew I had a man... someone I like, he willingly said he'd support my decision."
"How would women understand what's on a man's mind?"
