The room originally carried the subtle aroma of lavender essential oil, but the moment this woman entered, it was overpowered by the heavy scent of her perfume.
"Aren't you even a little bit curious about the race results? Aren't you excited?"
"Excited about what?" Joan Harry asked in surprise, unable to quite follow the logic of this stranger.
She had no interest in Jesse Rowan or car racing, and even less interest in the results.
"Don't you think these games are thrilling, fun? It's my first time playing, so I wanted to hear your thoughts. If Mr. Rowan wins, I'm rather looking forward to it."
"I didn't participate, so I'm not interested," Joan replied indifferently. "Who wins or loses has nothing to do with me."
