"Alright." Jasmine Yale had always trusted Sylvan Cheney without a shred of doubt.
She didn't understand much about the company or financial matters, so she didn't ask any further questions.
"Then let's go home!" Jasmine hooked her arm around his, kissed him on the cheek, and clasped his fingers with her small hand.
Just as Sylvan was about to respond, his phone began vibrating on the table.
"I'll take this call." Sylvan picked up the phone.
To his surprise, it was Zachary Santos calling.
"CEO Santos, what's the matter?"
"Mr. Cheney, I'm in Old York. Early this morning, I went to Ann's house and found she was missing. I asked the housekeeper there, who said she hasn't been home for two days. Little Candy has been crying non-stop. Mr. Cheney, could you help me check if Ann has returned to the country?"
"You've searched all of Old York?"
