"Did you accept it?"
Yuk Jian was silent for a few seconds, seeming curious yet doubtful: "Miss Mi, what does it have to do with you whether I accepted it or not?"
"Just asking." Chuzheng spoke casually, without any discernible emotion: "Did you accept it or not?"
"...No."

Chuzheng lowered her head, placing the items from the cart onto the checkout counter. The light fell on her profile, giving it a delicate glow, as fine as pearls and jade.
Yuk Jian couldn't help but admit that the girl in front of him was indeed very attractive.
Chuzheng placed the last item, and Yuk Jian immediately looked away, pretending he hadn't seen anything.
Taking advantage of the cashier's distraction, Chuzheng stood next to Yuk Jian, asking in a voice only they could hear: "What kind of flowers did she send?"
