I could feel someone shaking me. Hearing the words in afar.
"Hey are you okay?"
Avoiding to bring myself back to reality. Knowing I couldn't stay. I force myself up.
Dazed to the world. Seeing Allison face filled with worried.
"Hey are you okay?"
"No, they did something to me. I can still feel it"
I held where the injection spot was.
"It's a serum to improve certain aspect in your brain and body" She continue "All the children here went through what they did to you".
After hearing that, realizing that, more children undergo this horrible procedure. What can I complain about, at least, they survive. I took a deep breath and let it go.
" So, how many are there?" I questioned
" I don't know, only time we see each oth.. "You! girl come here" one of the guards called out before she could finished her sentence.
Allison and I both turned our heads to see him pointing straight at her. I peered at Allison, her face blank, emotionless. She got up and walked to him. Before he opened the gate, he hand-cuffed her hand. She look over her shoulder smiling at me. Confused at her facial expression, I had a bad feeling.
It felt like hours went by before she came back. I felt uneasy, blood on her face and clothes. What did they do to her? Another procedure I wonder. I worked up the courage and slowly reached out for her
"Allison, what happened" I paused "Why are you covered in blood"
You could tell she was absent from her mind. Her eyes dazed. You could see something horrible had happened to her. I went to grab her by the hand. Before I could, I was swung through the air and slammed on the ground. The pain radiated throughout my entired body. My air-ways block, all that I could get out was a wheeze. What the fuck just happened!
Struggling to roll over. I manage to put my arms underneath me. I pushed up, getting one feet planted. Fighting to stay up; holding the wall to get balance. Staring at her just standing there.
"Allison what the hell!" Seeing her snapped back
"I'm so sorry" she stepped forward, I stepped back, not wanting to repeat what happened.
"I won't hurt you" " Too late" I snapped back
Her face soften and sadden "I'm sorry, Allison"
I let her help me to the bed and we both sat down. We just stared at each other in awkward silence.
"You know I never really got your name" Allison finally spoke up
"At least I can do is tell you after that body slam" We both laugh at the stupid joke.
"My name is Eclipse" Her eyes wided "Really?" as she tilted her head.
"Yes, my mother love astronomy" "It is one of many things we have in common."
"Where is your mother now?" She asked "My mother is dead." the words slip from my lips cold and harsh.
"I'm sorry" "It's okay" I reassured her.
I hesitated to asked "What happened to you?"
Her face harden with my question
"You'll see soon enough" she changed the topic "You know I never had a roommate in here with me".
"What you mean?" you could hear footsteps coming "The kids never make it this far"
"You! black hair girl come" he was looking at me. I was scared to go, but my body moved on it own. He cuffed my hands, opened the rusty gate. We walked down the corridor to a red door. When he opened it, I was blinded by the light. All I could feel was my hands being uncuff and the door being shut behind me. Seconds goes by and I finally adjust to the light. Hundreds maybe thousands were standing around in a circle. I was in a arena circle, but for what.
The man with white hair and silver eyes walked up to a mic and yelled "Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen's to Beast Fighter!"
The crowd roar and applauded.
"Today we have a newcomer in the arena. We was able to finally find someone that could hold the feline gene"
They crowd whispered among themselves.
" She will be going against our straightforward fighter Ryan" Applause again chanting Ryan over and over. I looked across the arena seeing another red door open. You could see a shadow walk out the door. When he finally hit the light, he was a mid-build boy with gray hair and black eyes.
I thought to myself, I'm going to die if I fight this boy.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, placed your bet the fight will begin shortly".
