Happiness filled the atmosphere as the year comes to end.
"Happy New Year!" The crowd jeered as the clock goes by. Tick-tock, the sound of the clock as it go around. A new year has come, the old is gone. Nothing more to hold back anymore.
In some far area, the atmosphere is far different from the outside. Instead of people greeting each other, people were shouting and yelling. Blame, curses and resentment fill the room. It was seen in their faces that they were not totally happy. Older ones were throwing hateful looks, while the young ones were throwing sorrowful looks.
There was a rift in their family. Long ago, their family was loving and understanding yet as the years go by, it changed.
"I don't know what happened to you. Everything I did is for you. Why can't you see that." The old lady cried. Her auburn hair that was tied up in an old fashion way of bun were now looked messy. Her once magnificent make up were a disaster, it was ruined by her continuous crying. "Why can't you see that?" She continued wailing.
"Hush, Mother. Its no use. Don't waste your tears on that trash. He doesn't deserve that." A man in an elegant suit soothing his mother and also to show off as filial son. He handed her his silk handkerchief and saying, "I don't know what's gotten into you but," he paused then glancing the people around them. "There's a lot people here. We'll talk this tomorrow. But now let's enjoy this evening." Giving his brother a hard look.
"Fine. Do whatever you want." Walking out from the scene.
He was the eldest among his siblings yet he wasn't treated as one. He was the first child in the family yet from the different mother. He was the illegitimate son of the head of Ren family. His father met his mother when he was in university. He was one of the professor and his mother was one the students, a very promising one. Yet, the society doesn't approved their relationship causing her to lost her son.
"As if they care about me." He mumbled under his breath.
The evening passed by. All the guests are gone. All the servants are busy cleaning up the whole mansion.
"Good morning, brother Lu." Shea greeted. Her morning looks are somewhat cute. She wear her favorite yellow bear pyjamas.
"G'morning, Shea." Giving her a kiss in her forehead. It became a habit of him to give morning kiss to Shea. She burst into giggles and hold on to him as they went down the stairs.
"Good morning, Lu and Shea. Your parents are having breakfast in the patio." Vincent greeted. He is the steward of their household and close confidant of their father.
"Thanks, uncle V." Shea replied and they went on. Both siblings went to where their parents are. Holding each others hand.
"Good morning!" Shea greeted her mother and father who were both having their breakfast.
