Damien's POV
It is now sunrise and she's fully awake.
Wondering why I'm not burned from the sun? Well it's because I'm special. Hehe just kidding.
When I was a kid I heard that my mom was a human.
"Hey, Thanks for looking out for me. But I need to go. " She said weakly. And I noticed that she became pale.
"Are you okay? " I asked her. I'm worried.
"Hmm? Yeah, I'm okay. I just need to go home. " She replied to me.
"Lead the directions." I ordered her.
"There" she pointed. "Well, I'll be going now. Bye" She was supposed to walk, but I stopped her.
"Ummmm... Will we meet again?" I asked her. I don't know why i asked that.
But I just feel weird. Maybe I have fallen in love with her? I have read many human novels. And the signs written in those novels, happened to me.
Except for the "Heart skipped a beat" we vampires don't have hearts.
And according to my dad. We just realize it.
"Of course. I can always go to the lake." She said while smiling.
"When will you be free?" I asked with high hopes.
"I'm not free in day time because of work. How about every evening. Is that okay for you? " She said.
"Of course, but what if your parents will get worried? " I asked in concern.
"They don't care about me. " she said in a sorrowful voice.
"Why?" I asked. I'm curious. "It's okay if you won't tell me. "
"sigh, actually my mom died of an illness. And after my mom died, my father remarried. After he remarried, i got s little sister. And they seem to forget about me. " she said. I can tell that she's holding her tears.
I hugged her and said "Just cry if you want"
"Hahahahah, no way. I won't cry. Crying is for losers." she said. I object to that but it came from her so, i won't.
"What about your school? If we always meet at night won't you be tired in day time?" That is one of my concerns.
"Oh about that. I actually dropped school. It's my step mother's wishes. I have to work for money. To enroll my little sister to school." She said with sorrow.
"Well, she's mean." I stated.
"And besides I won't stay here for long in this world. " She said. She said it in a low voice. But since I am keen in hearing. I heard her.
"What do you mean in not staying here for long?" I asked.
She seem shock. "Uh, nothing. It's just a joke. Don't mind it. Hehe" She laughed awkwardly.
"Ehem, Like I said awhile ago. I need to go." She said. "And oh. Promise me that you'll wait for me near the lake every night."
"I promise" I swear to come here every night.
"Pinky promise? " She said while raising her cute little pinky.
"pinky promise." then we locked our pinkies.
"Good bye Damien. See you tonight." She said while waving her hand.
I'm now at ease that she'll be safe. Since there is no longer a vampire roaming around.
I quickly turned my back and went back to the palace.
