"There's a house over there!" Ji Weitian shouted with joyful surprise once she recognized it as the homestay they were looking for.
Qin Nanyu didn't hesitate, he sped up toward the direction of the homestay.
But when they arrived, they found the whole house pitch-dark.
The gates were tightly locked; through the fence, they could see the yard littered with fallen leaves and tree branches broken by the heavy rain.
The flowerpots placed in the corner had plants that were all dead.
The scene looked utterly desolate.
The excitement in Ji Weitian's heart was doused with a bucket of cold water, extinguishing even the tiniest of sparks in an instant.
"Are we... at the wrong place?" she wondered.
