"Instructor Yu Qiuyan," he replied, tone polite but edged with suspicion. "I didn't expect to run into you here."
"Neither did I," she agreed lightly. "One could even call it fate."
Xun Wei's hand tightened around the wheelchair handles. The word fate struck her nerves like a trigger — subtle, involuntary, instinctual.
Xiao Fang was also put on edge.
'Could she have been there during the fight?' his thoughts lingered.
If she had been present, Xiao Fang may not have sensed her because of the storm, even his hearing had limits.
