"Indeed," Oliver said. "Honoured comrade, I bid you welcome. Come, you have travelled far. We have accommodations prepared for you inside Ernest."
Just as quickly as Oliver had seen those men arranged outside of Ernest, he had them depart back inside. Uneventfully. He pierced through them, until he and Verdant and Nila were once more leading by the front. Karesh and Kaya, by their own choice, chose to stay by the rear.
At the end of the tunnel through the gate, they saw the newly gathered men of position, all of them watching with narrowed eyes, trying to put together the pieces, and find the source of the newly built tension that had seen them called this far.
