A moment later, Dai Yuxing's phone rang. She checked the caller ID and answered, "Captain Mei, haven't you slept yet?"
"I'm on duty tonight," Captain Mei said sternly. "Why didn't you report during the scheduled contact time?"
"My mind was a bit tired," Dai Yuxing explained, "so I zoned out and took a brief nap, missing the time."
