Chapter 20 - The Boat of hope

The Final Vow

Aryan, his heart overflowing with the confidence of his near-death experience and Ayra's newfound confession, held her gaze. The deep, philosophical fears he had carried for years were finally dissolved by her presence.

"Ayra," he began, his voice dropping into a register of profound intimacy. I am never without you, even in my thoughts. The burden of your absence is gone, replaced by the habit of knowing you are near.More than the pain of your potential absence, I now have the fear that you may actually leave my life.

He took her hands, his thumb brushing against her palm, and delivered the ultimate plea—the one he no longer needed to beg.

"Ayra! Be mine and be my queen...To my heart and to my life...Let me be there for you always...Let's travel together through the stream of love in the boat of hope and trust!"

Ayra's eyes welled up with happy tears. The resistance was over. The game was finished. All that remained was the truth.

"Aryan," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "You are my first love. I never really want to lose you. I love you, Aryan. I am your girl from the day you started loving me, and now, I am your queen to take care of my king and love him till my soul leaves me. I love you, Aryan!"

Taking her close, holding her as if she were the most fragile, precious thing in the world, Aryan embraced her, sealing their promise. "My love," he murmured into her hair, "I will take care of you like my little princess."

She held him tight, finally letting go of the years of suppressed feeling, crying not from pain, but from the immense relief of being fully loved and finally safe.

The Mother's Reflection

Standing silently in the doorway, Aryan's mother watched the embrace. The tears she shed now were of pure, unadulterated happiness. The scene was the validation of every sacrifice, every worry, and every enduring hope.

She smiled, reflecting on the arduous journey.

"The years of Aryan's persistent love for Ayra finally succeeded."

"He struggled a lot, he was knocked down and nearly killed, but at the end of the day, his deepest dream became true."

"He never thought of loving anyone else; though there were few distractions in his path, he always realized and got back onto his true course."

"His unwavering belief in his purpose—his ambition—and his profound, stubborn faith in his love made him reach his dream."

The boat had weathered the storms, the current had been accepted, and the king had found his queen.
