She tapped furiously on her handphone as she glanced at her laptop. She grinned, she hit their goal already and now she is ready to troll her translator colleagues in the group chat.

She frowned, and tried to remember. She stood up and went to go get a glass of water. She felt dizzy after a few steps, and then darkness engulfed her.

He frowned. He was supposed to meet up with his parents but he was held up by his perky uncle and cousins. He was forced to hail a cab after his car got a busted tire and his chaffeur is a bit stupid, who did not know how to change tires. He would have changed it himself but remembered his father's sharp look. He sighed, and urged the cab driver to drive faster.
Looking around, he found that they are going the opposite direction. He sighed again. He was exasperated at himself, how careless of him! He let his guard down once and now he is being kidnapped. This is hilarious. He is already 18 and now he is being kidnapped!!
He face-palmed, and sighed again. His driver is definitely in cahoots with these morons. He'll have to deal with that traitor later. Now, he'll just sit and wait for the show to start. He'd have to wait to know who is stupid enough to orchestrate his kidnapping. They did the wrong thing now. They will definitely be sorry they did this. And their ancestors will definitely curse them if they did not know that doing this to him guaranteed the annihilation of their entire clan or family.
The driver suddenly braked at an abandoned warehouse. He turned around and pointed a gun at him. "Lu Qingyu, get your tush out here."
Lu Qingyu disembarked, and found himself surrounded by a ragtag team of thugs.
"Why are you doing this?" he asked.
"Blame your old man for not working with us, causing us to lose business and being bankrupt." An old man remarked, and Lu Qingyu turned to look at him.
Lu Qingyu's eyes narrowed in annoyance. "So it's Heitian International now, is it? You expect our company to work with you when all you do is swindle your partners? We are not stupid or gullible."
The old man gritted his teeth with anger and he spat, "Let's see how much your old man will be paying to have you released! Men, make sure this brat do not escape!!"

She crouched low, and saw a handsome young man being held at gunpoint. Darn, looks like she fell into a dilemma now.
[God, hope you gave me a cheat now that You've put me here in this setting] she thought mournfully and sighed.
She waited until the darkness of the night is enough to cover her. She slipped inside the warehouse when the guards weren't looking.
She tiptoed, looking for the young lad. Where is he now?? She searched each room, and found the lad inside one. She karate-chopped one on the neck and the guard slumped unconscious.
She slipped into the room and tried to free the guy's tightly-bound hands.
"If I knew how hard it is to undo knots, I should have learned it in camping," she muttered darkly.
The young man's lips curled. This savior of his has a sense of humor. He'll wait and look at her skills.
Suddenly, footsteps echoed in the hallway. His savior looked up and saw some beams good enough to hide her. He nodded for her to hide. She nodded back and left him for a while.
The old man of Heitian angrily stomped over and grabbed a fistful of Lu Qingyan's hair. "What do your old man mean not paying the ransom?"
Lu Qingyu smirked. "Why, what did he say?"
The old man spat, "He said, 'Stop playing around and go home. Your mom is worrying now. If you are not home until midnight, expect your mom to be there with your master.'"
Lu Qingyan's face turned solemn and mourned silently. 'Mom, I'm already 18, please stop coddling me! And master, can't you just let me have my fun now?'
He sighed. "Guess I'll just have to follow dad's instructions."
In a quick movement, his ropes became undone. With a flash, all of his captors became unconscious. The old man of Heitian was shocked!
The old man aimed his gun at Lu Qingyu. Lu Qingyu was busy punching some of the guys who weren't rendered unconscious.
She saw that the old man is pulling the trigger. Unmindful of what might happen to her, she ran straight for the young man.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Lu Qingyu's eyes widened when he saw a body slammed into him. He turned and saw his savior from earlier.
"Hey, are you okay?" she asked.
"En, I'm alright," a soft, masculine voice answered her back.
"You got a nice voice there. But I'm feeling a bit sleepy so I'll just go take a nap now m'kay? Good night."
