Chapter 7 - I made it.

"Of course, I still have to eat." Leah finally managed to control her laughter and stood up. Only to wince and fall back down.

Lahahana hurriedly went to her side to look her over. "I'm so silly how could I have forgotten your injuries." She began cautiously looking her over. "I'm fine, honestly. My body was just a bit numb. No harm done at all." With that she hurriedly got up and stood firmly to prove her point. Unfortunately this did nothing to ease her worries. "Why did you stand. I know my strength best, you are most definitely still numb." Although what she said was right how could she admit to. Her previous bravado would all go to waste. How could she allow that.

"Perhaps you are weaker than you thought or subconsciously you care about me so much you couldn't bare to hurt me?" Though the pain says otherwise but that sentence she can only keep in her heart. The results were immediate; getting up, Lahahana gave her a look of disdain. " Are you stupid or am I? Who would care about you?" Feigning sadness, Leah made her eyes watery and looked away before saying in an obviously exaggerated tone. " Too true. No one loves me. Clearly no one cares about me or how could i be abandoned on the cold, lonely streets?" "That's not true. Not true at all at the very least, didn't I come for you?" She reached out her hands to cup her face and make her look at her eyes to see she was serious. What greeted her wasn't sadness but laughter with a hint of mischief. She held back her temper and decided no to care about her anymore. With one hmph she went back to being a gentle beauty. Walking up to a trees she lightly jumped and her wings fluttered a bit. She slowly extended her hand towards a branch. With the light shining on her the whole picture was breathtaking. Well until a loud boom was heard and one of the branches fell to the ground.

Leah looked away and scowled; muttering under her breathe. "Tsk.. I knew she couldn't stay graceful for long." In return she received a glare from Hana but besides that she refused to acknowledge her further. So Leah chose to stand aside and watch her work. Hana's hand glowed a faint gold and with movements she could barely keep up with, the outline of a bow appeared. A second rough bow followed soon after. With that done, she ran her hand over them and they magically started to smooth out. Leah couldn't help but be curious about the process, but recalling the zaps she received earlier she could kind of figure it out.

She watched as Hana stared at her handiwork with a frown. After a minute, she began to carve the smaller bow with wild animals that are commonly hunted. With a bird as the main focus. The bigger one was carved with lines that seemingly had no meaning. However, she couldn't help feeling they looked familiar.

"What do these patterns mean?" Hana was too focused and didn't notice her sneak up on her. Startled, she widened her eyes adorably and shot out a small bolt of lightning. Luckily, she evaded fast enough, but the small smoking hole that appeared where her foot was was enough to almost make her faint from fear. No wait anger it was definitely anger, not fear. How can she dare still act cute while almost maiming her. She even went back to carving as if nothing had happened. Taking two depth breaths, she finally decided to forgive her on account of her good looks. Beautiful people get special privileges.

"So what do those patterns mean?" Hana stopped and stared at her in the eyes. "Someone once tried to make a bow but came out terrible. They had no craftsmanship what so ever and they had zero craving skills to brag about. However, he wished to give a gift to his beloved, nonetheless, that he made himself. When he was asked what those patterns meant, he blushed with shame and said. 'I wasn't blessed with talent in this area. However, I still hoped to make something beautiful enough to enter your eyes.' Little did he know it entered her heart. To her, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, and she treasured that bow. Though sadly, it truly was unussable." With that, Hana smiled and went back to carving, unaware that Leah seemed to be in a daze. Images of a blurred man appeared in her head. He seemed to be hesitating whether to knock on the door. Every time he was going to knock, he would glance down at a bow that seemed as if it was on its last leg. Carved on the surface was patterns that looked similar to the one she just saw. After a look, he would start to leave in frustration before becoming determined and going back. The third time he turned around to leave; the door abruptly opened, and the hazy voice of a woman floated out. "How long are you going to loiter outside of my door? Where's your usual confidence? If you have something to tell me, be quick about it. If you continue to act this way, I'll start to despise you." He reacted as if struck by lightning and rigidly turned to face her. He started to slowly shuffle over until he heard the lady huff at him, then immediately upped his speed. With a blush up to his ears, he carefully presented his gift. "For you...I um made this for you." After that, the scene cut off, and she had a mild headache. She tried to recall what she just thought but couldn't quite make it out. She felt mildly agitated about forgetting and kept feeling it was something important. However, once she saw Hana, all the negative feelings disappeared, and only one thought remained. It doesn't matter at least I have Hana.
