Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Reward? Zanpakuto(s)....

Quiet…

Too quiet.

The wedding didn't just end with a bang—it ended with a calamity that left Floating Cloud City frozen in shock long after Yun Che vanished. Every guest remained rooted in place, silent as corpses, unable to process what they had witnessed.

Then, slowly, the tension collapsed.

One by one, people slumped to the ground, gasping for breath as though they had surfaced from deep underwater. Elders shook uncontrollably, palms still pressed to the floor where they had been forced to kowtow. Even now, fear kept them pinned. The pressure Yun Che released wasn't profound energy—it was something else entirely, a force so overwhelming it shattered their understanding of power itself.

It had vaporized the Xiao Clan's master with a single blow.

It had sheared a mountain from afar.

It had crushed a Sky Profound expert without even targeting her.

What was he?

Xia Yuanba stood trembling. The image of Yun Che in that strange black robe—Zangetsu on his back, hair fluttering like a reaper descending upon the world—was seared permanently into his mind. His brother-in-law wasn't a cripple. He wasn't weak. He wasn't even someone he could comprehend.

He was… extraordinary.

Admiration bloomed in Yuanba's chest like wildfire.

Not far away, Xia Qingyue could no longer stand. The suffocating pressure earlier had been far beyond anything a beginner like her could endure. Her knees buckled, body shaking uncontrollably. Only her father's arms—and Yuanba's—kept her from collapsing completely. Her master, Chu Yueli, arrived moments later, dropping to her knees beside her.

Yueli's expression shifted instantly from concern… to dread.

Whatever power hid within the Xiao Clan's walls was not something Floating Cloud City should have ever brushed against.

Meanwhile, the elders and representatives of nearby clans exchanged terrified whispers. Based on the slash alone, many speculated Yun Che was at least in the Emperor Profound Realm. Others insisted he had to be beyond a Throne—or perhaps even a Tyrant—given the destructive radius of his strike. None of them could fully believe what they were sensing. A seventeen-year-old with that level of strength would shatter the balance of power across the Blue Wind Empire.

Such a genius shouldn't exist.

And worse—he wasn't even from their clans. He wasn't theirs to claim.

He had revealed no affiliation, no sect, no backer.

Only power.

The Xiao Clan fared the worst. Their fear bordered on despair. Every elder remembered their cruelty toward the boy they called trash. Every one of them saw their own doom reflected in the ruins around them. Several fell to their knees and kowtowed before Xiao Lie, hoping—praying—that as Yun Che's grandfather, he might soothe the storm coming their way.

But Xiao Lie only shook his head with a heavy sigh.

The cruelty the clan inflicted on Yun Che over the years was engraved too deeply. A few words of pleading would not erase that history.

Chaos rippled through the entire city. Cultivators scattered to report what they saw; gossip exploded in every corner; fear and awe spread like wildfire as rumors of a mysterious, mountain-splitting youth took flight.

Meanwhile…

High atop one of Floating Cloud City's tallest buildings, Yun Che sat cross-legged, enjoying the evening breeze with Zangetsu resting comfortably behind him. From this vantage point, he watched the city lights flicker like stars.

A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Not bad for day one," he murmured.

=====================

Later that evening…

The Xiao Clan dining hall was suffocatingly quiet—so quiet that even the servants didn't dare breathe loudly.

Xia Qingyue sat beside her father and brother, her posture perfect, her expression calm… yet utterly hollow. The seat beside her remained empty, the one meant for her newly wedded husband. She had not spoken a single word after being escorted back to the clan. Tradition dictated she stay here tonight—no matter how surreal the day had turned.

Around the table, the Xiao Clan elders, once arrogant and overbearing, now sat rigid like statues. The earlier massacre still haunted them. Yun Che had crippled their second elder, killed the clan head and his heir, and shattered their gate and mountain in one sweep. If such people had been reduced to corpses and cripples, then what were they?

No one dared to move.

No one dared to speak.

No one dared to even swallow too loudly.

Then—

Swoosh.

A ripple of spiritual energy brushed the curtains, and a familiar voice drifted in lazily.

"Man, that was tiring."

Yun Che stepped inside as if he had merely returned from a stroll, not from shaking the entire city's foundations. His presence alone tightened every elder's spine. Even Xia Hongyi stiffened slightly, though he forced a calm smile.

Yun Che scanned the room and raised an eyebrow. "Why is everyone so tense?"

He knew exactly why—but he enjoyed watching their reactions. Xiao elders quaked in their seats, others lowered their heads so hard they nearly fused with the floor. Only a few remained unaffected: Xiao Lie, Xiao Lingxi, Xia Yuanba, Xia Hongyi… and Xia Qingyue, who watched him quietly, her expression unreadable.

"Little Che, where were you?" Xiao Lingxi jumped up instantly, relief and worry written all over her face. She was one of the few with the courage to approach him.

Xia Qingyue, however, remained still. Her eyes lingered on him with a strange complexity. He was supposed to be a cripple—weak, harmless, irrelevant. She had married him out of duty, not desire. And yet today, he had shown a power greater than anything she had ever witnessed. Even her master could not approach him.

The stranger she married was now… a stranger with unfathomable power.

"A walk?" Yun Che replied casually.

Lingxi puffed her cheeks. "Muuu… Little Che, won't you at least have dinner with your wife?" She said it mostly to save Qingyue from the embarrassment of eating alone on her wedding night.

"Nah, I'm not that hungry," he said. "Besides, shouldn't she be the one offering?"

His offhand remark made Xia Qingyue freeze for a moment.

Ignoring her reaction, Yun Che turned to his grandfather. "Hey, Gramps… can we talk later tonight? I've got a few questions."

"Of course, Che'er." Xiao Lie nodded warmly. "The garden at nightfall. You know the spot."

"Perfect." Yun Che stretched casually. "Little Aunt, I'll be in my room. You need anything, just shout."

"Muuu… at least eat something!" Lingxi protested, pushing a dish toward him.

Yun Che blinked before his stomach growls. Then shrugged. "Well, now that you mention it…"

He sat… right beside Xia Qingyue.

She tensed instantly.

"Sup?" he said casually.

She stiffened even more.

Then he began eating—slowly, steadily, savoring each bite. The entire hall fell silent again, though now the silence was paired with absolute terror. No one dared move as he ate. Even Qingyue's chopsticks froze midair as she stole glances at him, trying to understand him, trying to reconcile the "cripple" with the being who had torn a mountain apart.

Ten minutes passed like that.

Silent. Stifling. Terrifying.

Yun Che placed his chopsticks down and clasped his hands together—an gesture foreign to this world.

"Well. Thanks for the meal."

That simple, normal phrase felt more shocking to the Xiao Clan than everything else he had done.

He stood, stretched, then winked at Xiao Lingxi.

"Little Aunt, again... I'll be in my room. Call me if you need anything."

He tidied his plate, slung Zangetsu lightly over his shoulder, and walked out whistling a cheerful tune.

And just like that, the monster who had turned Floating Cloud City upside-down left the hall…

…leaving everyone at the table too afraid to even exhale until his presence faded entirely.

"I swear that, Little Che…" Xiao Lingxi puffed her cheeks before returning to her meal, though her eyes still followed Yun Che's disappearing silhouette. The others at the table watched her with a strange mixture of awe and confusion. How could she speak so casually with someone who had just displayed the strength of an Emperor? And yet, he still treated her like his precious aunt.

Lingxi's brows furrowed as she poked her rice. "Father… is it just me, or does Little Che's way of speaking sound… odd?"

"Odd how?" Xiao Lie asked gently.

"He used to call you 'grandfather,' but tonight he said 'gramps.' That's new. And he… he's always been friendly and goofy and flirty but somehow… tonight he felt different. Like… someone else."

Xiao Lie slowly exhaled. "You're not wrong. Che'er felt different from before. His presence… his tone… even the way he looks at people. It's like speaking to a completely different person."

Lingxi shivered, remembering the cold, effortless way he had executed Xiao Yulong. "And he was violent. Really violent. Did you see his eyes when he killed Yulong? There wasn't even a second of hesitation. They used to be so close. Little Che always saw him as a brother."

Xiao Lie closed his eyes with a tired sigh. "Many things changed today, Lingxi. Whatever happened to Che'er… we can only hope the boy we love still remains somewhere inside him."

"Little Che… what happened to you?" she whispered.

Across the table, Xia Qingyue quietly listened—expression unreadable but her thoughts in turmoil.

She had been prepared to marry a cripple: a cheerful, harmless boy who was happy simply because she existed. She expected a man who would cling to her, adore her, depend on her.

But the man she saw today…

He didn't look happy. He didn't look excited. He didn't even look proud to call her his wife.

To him, the marriage felt like a chore. A nuisance. An obligation.

Just like how she had viewed it.

More unsettling still—when she secretly sent a wisp of frost energy into his body earlier, he had immediately reflected it back at her. A feat she knew no cripple could ever accomplish. Even a profound practitioner at her level shouldn't have been able to do that.

And yet he countered it effortlessly.

She needed answers.

After dinner, she rose from the table. Every Xiao Clan member's eyes followed her, whispering silently with dread or curiosity. Xia Hongyi sighed, rubbing his temples. This son-in-law of his had flipped the entire city on its head. Yuanba, meanwhile, practically glowed with worship. His brother-in-law was his new hero.

Qingyue walked through the courtyard toward the residence prepared for the married couple. Servants stood rigidly outside, too terrified to go anywhere near the door. They parted instantly when they saw her—the only person alive who dared enter.

She knocked softly.

No answer.

She slid the door open and stepped inside.

There he was.

Yun Che sat cross-legged in the center of the room, still wearing his black shihakushō. Zangetsu stood planted before him, wrapped in white cloth strips that fluttered with his slow breathing. His eyes were closed in deep meditation, but she could tell—he had sensed her the moment she entered.

He simply didn't acknowledge her.

Qingyue stood there quietly, unsure of what to do.

This man… This stranger… This husband she had agreed to marry out of promise…

She had never seen him like this.

Never seen his face unobscured.

Never noticed how strikingly handsome he was, with those sharp features and raven-black hair cascading freely behind him.

Her heart—trained for years to remain cold—gave an unfamiliar, tiny tremor.

Is this… truly Xiao Che?

Or was this a different man wearing Xiao Che's skin?

Silent, she sat on the edge of the bed, hands folded neatly in her lap, patiently waiting—watching him as he meditated, the faint glow of power humming around him.

For the first time since the wedding…

Xia Qingyue felt unsure.

Curious and just the slightest bit afraid.

But more than all of that—

She finally wanted to know the man she married.

====================

But Yun Che was not in the room anymore.

He was in Jinzen—the meditative state of a Shinigami—descending into the depths of his inner system world.

A pitch-black void opened around him, stretching endlessly in all directions. The air—or whatever passed for it here—shimmered faintly with spiritual particles. In the silence, his voice echoed.

"What am I going to do with you guys?"

Before him floated four pulsing orbs of power, each radiating its own distinct aura.

A massive black orb wrapped in a swirling red outline and leaking bits of wild, unstable blue spiritual pressure—Hoyuu's essence, chaotic and eager for violence.

Beside it drifted a snow-blue orb, serene yet cold, carrying a deep stillness that felt like the calm before a blizzard—Old Man Zangetsu's Quincy aspect.

A pair of twin spinning blue orbs circled each other slowly, forming a mirrored current of energy—representing the fused aspects of his internal hollow and Quincy powers waiting for synchronization.

And hovering slightly behind them—quiet, simmering with restrained destruction—was a red-and-white cloaked sphere, its aura trembling with immense potential.

The newest Zanpakutō essence born from the overflow of power.

======================

Moments before…

Yun Che pushed open the door to his room, ignoring the servants trembling in fear as he passed. The moment he closed the door behind him, the silence snapped—and he burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Take THAT, Floating Cloud City! That's how me, Your Father, rolls!"

He pointed dramatically in the direction of the courtyard, still grinning like a madman. The high from earlier hadn't worn off—slapping an entire city's face at once felt amazing. Better than clearing a dungeon. Better than killing a raid boss. Better than leveling five times in a row.

He flopped backward onto the floor, arms spread out as he caught his breath. Using that much reiatsu, even with his control, had drained him more than he expected. Maintaining Absolute Suppression over an entire manor while staying precise enough not to kill anyone? That wasn't cheap.

But the payoff?

Oh yeah. Worth it.

As he basked in his triumph—

=======================

[Ding!]

[Congratulation, host, on achieving the "Who's the Boss?" achievement – Show the Floating Cloud City that you are not someone to mess with.]

[Rewards gained: 10000 XP, 5000 SP, and Zanpakutō Zabimaru.]

A small chibi-version of himself appeared in the notification—tiny Shinigami robe, smug grin, swinging Zangetsu like a toy while laughing at a mini Floating Cloud City.

=======================

Yun Che blinked—then burst into laughter again. "Cute little bastard."

Before he could enjoy the moment too long, a sudden pulse of reiatsu vibrated through his body. A red-and-white cloaked orb manifested above him, drifting toward the familiar black-red sphere that represented Zangetsu. Another presence—wild, feral, and unmistakably serpentine—hovered beside it.

His senses sharpened instantly.

A new Zanpakutō spirit.

Yun Che immediately sat cross-legged and placed his hands together.

"Jinzen… log in."

His consciousness dropped.

==============

Inside the Inner World

Blackness stretched infinitely as Yun Che's spirit-body materialized.

Before him floated the orbs:

Zangetsu's ominous black-red sphere.

A blue-slashed aura.

The calmer snow-blue Quincy orb.

And now…

A new orb—wrapped in red cloth with white markings, spiritual energy coiling like a snake ready to strike.

Zabimaru.

A soft chime echoed through the void.

===================

[Ding… These orbs are the host's Zanpakutō spirits. Since you possess multiple Zanpakutō, the host cannot use more than one at a time. To switch Zanpakutō, tap the desired orb. When a halo appears above it, it is set as the active Zanpakutō.]

====================

Yun Che glanced upward.

On top of Zangetsu's orb floated a glowing halo, marking it as the currently equipped blade.

"Yeah… figures," he murmured. "Not switching that anytime soon."

Zabimaru's orb pulsed once—as if sulking.

Before he could speak, more notifications flooded the darkness.

=====================

[Synchronizing gained experience from previous events…]

=====================

[Ding!]

[Congratulation, host. Soul Level: 51]

[Rewards gained:

[Shinigami 13th Division Captain Haori

[Zanpakutō: Sode no Shirayuki

[ Zanpakutō: Sogyo no Kotowari]

=====================

Yun Che stared at the rewards.

Then blinked.

Then stared harder.

"…Bro. Three Zanpakutō in one day?"

Hoyuu snorted from inside the black-red orb before he materialized next to him. "Yo King, try not to explode. You barely contain me as is."

Old Man Zangetsu sighed in his restrained, icy tone. "Your growth is too fast. Even your system struggles to keep up."

The new red-white orb trembled excitedly—Zabimaru practically wagging like a spiritual snake pup.

Yun Che rubbed his temples. "Great. Four Zanpakutō spirits and one unstable inner world. Just what I needed."

But beneath his annoyance… he smirked.

============================

Yun Che stared at the floating window of stats until his mind simply blanked out.

…What the hell was this?

Even for someone who had fought gods, monsters, and nightmares back in his original world, seeing this much potential laid out before him was overwhelming. His eyes moved from line to line—Shinigami mastery trees, Hollow progression pathways, Quincy evolutions—and for the first time since reincarnating, he felt a chill.

"So many things I can become…" he whispered.

But then he saw that part of the menu.

Quincy Evolution Form

Ultimate Quincy Evolution Form

Requirements…

Defeat Quincy Zangetsu at full power.

Fuse Fullbring Mode.

Create a second-stage Bankai.

And finally—

"Use Final Getsuga Tenshou…" he muttered with a sigh.

That meant accepting Ichigo's price.

That meant sealing his entire Shinigami cultivation for a full year.

One whole year as a defenseless mortal.

He rubbed his forehead.

"…Nope. Not thinking about that right now."

One disaster at a time.

He turned instead toward the four hovering orbs—his Zanpakuto spirits.

The black-and-red sphere holding Zangetsu's power pulsed steadily, like a silent heartbeat.Beside it floated a snowy-blue orb—the gentle, serene glow of Sode no Shirayuki.Twin blue lights flickered playfully, belonging to the child-like Sogyo no Kotowari.And lastly, a large red-and-white orb spun with wild, primal rhythm—Zabimaru.

"Zangetsu, Zabimaru, Sode no Shirayuki, Sogyo no Kotowari…" Yun Che murmured. "Two captains' blades and one of the strongest lieutenant Zanpakuto."

He crossed his arms.

"That's way too generous, System."

The system, of course, said nothing.

He drifted closer to the orbs, circling them like a curious scientist inspecting artifacts. The rules were obvious now. He could only wield one Zanpakuto at a time—no dual-wielding the way Ichigo once accidentally did. Switching required Jinzen, meaning no mid-battle weapon swaps.

"Well… that's fair," he admitted. "If I could swap during combat, I'd be too broken even for this world."

He tapped the red-and-white orb.

A halo flared above it.

The system window refreshed immediately.

====================

[Default Zanpakuto: Zabimaru]

Zanpakuto: Zabimaru

Shikai — Activation: Howl

Mastery: 0%

Bankai:

• Hihio Zabimaru — Baboon King (False Bankai) — 0%

• Sōō Zabimaru — Twin Kings (Perfected Bankai) — 0%

(Requires full affinity and mastery)

=========================

Yun Che whistled.

"So that's how it works… I can't use Zangetsu's Getsuga or Bankai while holding Zabimaru."

He tapped the red-and-white sphere again.

The halo vanished and reappeared above Zangetsu's orb.

"Back to normal."

He stretched his arms overhead, floating lazily in the void.

"So, System… can I still talk to the other spirits without setting them as my active blade?"

A soft, emotionless chime answered.

======================

[Host can visit any spirit by touching their orb. Tap the sphere to enter.]

======================

Yun Che reached out and tapped the dark, red-rimmed orb of Zangetsu. The moment his finger touched its surface, the void warped around him and reality folded inward.

When he opened his eyes again, he was standing on the side of a skyscraper.

A familiar skyscraper.

Dozens of towering, modernized buildings stretched into the sky, their mirrored windows reflecting eternal daylight. The horizon shifted in impossible angles—the world felt tilted, stretched, gravity loosening and tightening in pulses. The blue sky above was boundless, clouds frozen mid-drift like painted strokes. It was a city with no people, no movement, no time. A parallel earth. A digital ghost of a world that existed only inside Zangetsu's soul.

It reminded him of the eerie "Backrooms" theory from his past life—except this was real, tangible, and alive in its own strange way.

He exhaled, marveling.

"So this is… your world."

"Yoo, King!"

A grin tugged at Yun Che's lips as a figure flickered into existence right in front of him.

"Hoyuu," he greeted, fist already extending.

The Hollow chuckled wildly, returning the bump. "Welcome, welcome! Did ya give those two bastards a beating like I taught you?"

"Yeah. They're dead. The original host is avenged," Yun Che replied simply.

Hoyuu's grin stretched ear to ear. "Good! Waste like that deserves to be turned into paste."

"It seems you enjoyed yourself," another voice cut in—calm, deep, mature.

Yun Che turned.

Old Man Zangetsu stood on the edge of a skyscraper's rooftop, coat billowing gently, a massive sword plunged under his feet like a throne.

"Ossan," Yun Che greeted.

"What brings you here?" the old man asked, stepping lightly down toward him.

"Testing the system," Yun Che said, hands in his pockets. "Wanted to see how visiting your worlds works. Didn't expect a whole modern city."

A faint smile curved Zangetsu's lips. "It suits my nature, I suppose."

Hoyuu scoffed. "It's boring, that's what it is. You know how many buildings I've destroyed Hundreds!" He gestured dramatically at the unending cityscape. "The System rebuild the next damn day! It's so dull I could die again!"

He flashed his inverted white blade in a sudden motion, pointing it straight at Yun Che.

"Come on! Let's fight! I miss kicking your sorry ass!"

"Maybe next time," Yun Che sighed, waving him off.

Hoyuu deflated immediately. "Tsk. Lame."

Yun Che chuckled and turned toward the other orbs in the void. He attempted to enter Zabimaru's world—nothing. Sogyo no Kotowari—locked. Sode no Shirayuki—also silent.

He frowned. "Hmm. Looks like they're still asleep."

Old Zangetsu nodded knowingly. "Their spirits have not awakened yet. Bond with them. Earn their trust. Zanpakuto choose their wielders—not the other way around."

Yun Che hummed in acknowledgement. "I'll get there. I need maximum affinity if I want perfect Bankai, after all."

More than that, he needed to find a way to merge his human body with his Shinigami form so he could truly combine Heretic Arts with Shinigami power. If he wanted true supremacy in this world, he needed everything—Shinigami, Quincy, Hollow, and the body cultivation of the Heretic God.

One day, he would surpass every level cap this world had.

One day, he would stand at the very top.

A soft chime echoed in the void.

=====================

[Ding… Secret Mission Complete: Achieve two achievements in one day.]

[Reward: 1 Wisdom Cube]

=====================

A glowing blue cube materialized and drifted gently into his hands. Yun Che turned it over thoughtfully, feeling the intricate spiritual patterns pulsing faintly beneath its shimmering surface.

The system window expanded.

=====================

[Item Name: Wisdom Cube]

[Description:]

A crystalline cube infused with summoning power. This artifact allows the host to summon allies from the Bleach world.

• 1 cube summons a basic ally

• 2 cubes summon an elite

• 3 cubes summon a super rare

• 4 cubes summon an ultra rare—typically a captain-class or spiritual titan

Summoned allies arrive without memories but possess absolute loyalty to the host.

=====================

Yun Che let out a low whistle.

"Summoning captains, huh? Not bad… but not today." He tucked the cube into his inventory. "I'm not gambling a one-cube summon and ending up with a Soul Society janitor."

He stretched his hands behind his head.

"Alright. Time to head back. Little Aunt's waiting, and Jasmine is coming soon."

He took a single breath.

"System—Jinzen, log out."

The city dissolved into darkness, the orbs dimming as his consciousness slipped out of the inner world.

And in the quiet room of the Xiao Clan, Yun Che opened his eyes—unaware that Xia Qingyue was sitting on the bed behind him, watching him silently with a storm of questions she could no longer ignore.
