Zhuang Zhixi clicked his tongue but didn't linger. He hurried home, where the courtyard was as lively as ever.
Everyone was gathered together, and Zhao Guihua asked, "Why are you back at this time?"
Zhuang Zhixi replied, "I came to drop something off."
He walked in with the bag and said, "Here, the eggs you wanted. Mission accomplished."
Zhao Guihua smiled and said, "At least you're good for something."
Zhuang Zhixi protested, "Come on, that's not fair…"
He was definitely useful. Who else in the family could handle such tasks? Certainly not his dad or his older brother.
Zhuang Zhixi declared, "I'm indispensable."
Zhao Guihua waved him off, "Alright, alright, go on, get back to work."
Zhuang Zhixi didn't delay. It was fine to be absent for a short while, but staying away too long wouldn't do. He didn't chat with everyone, just kissed each of the kids quickly before rushing back to work.
Aunt Zhou smirked and said, "What did he come back for? Just to kiss the kids?"
