Xi Yuan pressed his fingers into the back of the girl's neck, his other hand snatching the dessert plate from her grasp and placing it hurriedly on the small coffee table next to his chair.
A groan escaped his lips as she teased his lower lip with her teeth, her hand clutching the hem of his sweater, her wedding ring glistening in the moonlight above them. Her movements were desperate and wobbly, her hands shivering—as if she would burn if he didn't take her right then and there.
In a flash, he pulled away from her, his gaze darkening at her antics. Did she even realize she was awakening a monster he'd never be able to rein in?
"Stand up," he commanded, his voice deep and authoritative, sending a shiver of anticipation down her spine. As he leaned back in his chair, he nudged the small of her back with his thumb leisurely, his voracious black eyes promising to consume her whole.
