The Triangle faced the fearsome Trickshooter. Things started off rough with Lars activating Trickshow and blitzing all around the area at lightning speed. But, they were going to catch this monster and strike it down!
"Rio, cut off his path," Jaiden instructed.
"On it." Rio activated Jet Stream, summoning a trail of wind that walled off the only direction in which the Trickshooter could slide freely. Now, Lars was completely boxed in. The Triangle surrounded him from three sides, and Jet Stream locked out the fourth. It was a firm prison.
In addition, since the Jet Stream was blowing into the prison, it eliminated one of the directions in which Lars could fire his Trickshots. So, Lars would have to make sure all his shots dodge that antagonist wind.
As it happened, his next shot nearly fell into that trap. If he fired this shot as is, it would've passed through the wind and slowed down. Then, it would've bounced off the wall in a funny way and gone completely off course. That'd be terrible, yo!
Fortunately, he was able to spot the problem right before pulling the trigger. "Nice try, dude. But, I ain't falling for it!" He hurried to readjust his aim to play around the emerging wind.
Welp, this ain't gonna be a flashy shot, I guess. But, can't help it. His original plan was to fire another slick Trickshot that'll hit both Jaiden and Rio. But since he had to make last-minute adjustments, it was too risky to go for anything fancy. Therefore, he settled on hitting only Jaiden.
BAM! The Trickshot bounced once and grazed Jaiden's side, but it didn't come close to hitting Rio. Oh well.
It's lame, but I've gotta take risks into account. Better to hit at least one of them than risk hitting nobody.
The last scrim schooled him thoroughly on this topic. He tried to do cool stuff against Apprentece and messed up big time.
The Taurus Triangle was as strong as Apprentece, if not stronger. So, Lars had to make sure he landed all these Trickshots, or else he had no chance of winning this.
Lars's last-moment adjustment didn't go unnoticed. "Wow, he played around it!" Jaiden exclaimed. "Did you see that? He was about to shoot, then he saw your skill and changed the trajectory in the last second! Talk about crazy reaction time."
Rio made a face. "I'm pretty sure what he did defies physics..." Frankly, it didn't feel like the enemy in front of them was even human. Lars was making insane plays one after another!
"Maybe I should just Kraken him," Jaiden suggested. "We've gotta put a stop to this madman!"
"No, don't," Rio objected. "It's a waste to use Kraken here. This is a 3v1, not a team fight. We'll get him."
"Yeah, you're probably right," Nash agreed. "I was getting a little angsty for a moment there."
It was hard to stay composed in front of a godlike performance like this. Even among pros, there probably weren't many who could play Trickshooter at such a high level. Yes, at this very moment, Lars was on par with pros!
WHISH! Jaiden and Rio shot basic attacks at that mechanical monster, but Lars dodged everything with slides. It was literally impossible to land a single shot on this madman!
And, while sliding, Lars unleashed complex bouncing Trickshots like it was the easiest thing in the world. And each of them hit like a truck!
"Wow, he almost deleted all my HP already, haha…" Jaiden laughed nervously as his HP dropped from 100% to 20% within a couple of seconds. The next Trickshot might up straight-up kill him!
"Bro just won't stop moving!" Nash ranted as he chased the sliding mothafucka around. Going up against this guy's Trickshow with a melee class was pure torture.
Though it's not like Jaiden and Rio fared any better. They also have not confirmed any hits so far. Seriously, just how broken was Trickshow in Lars's hands!?
That overwhelming performance was enough to break anybody's spirit. Nonetheless, Jaiden was determined to survive. I just gotta roll when he shoots the next one, before I even see where the shot is going.
When it came to Lars, you had to assume his shots would connect for sure. The guy practically had 100% accuracy with his wild shots, no matter how chaotic his movements were.
WHOOSH. Lars activated a Trickslide to get away from Nash, dodging all incoming attacks. Then, in the middle of the slide, he was already aiming his next shot.
Dang, this is sick! Lars grinned. I'm going up against the entire trio all at once, and I'm somehow holding my ground! I might even kill Jaiden now!
THUMP THUMP THUMP. His heart drummed widely. The world around him nearly slowed down to a halt. In the middle of this super intense situation, Lars somehow felt like he had infinite time to aim his shot.
I'll focus Jaiden this time. He thought. I need just one bounce to kill him, so no need to take a risk with a double bounce.
And so, Lars aimed his gun accordingly. One bounce, that's all he needed. It was as easy as that.
Yet, alarms rang in his head for some reason. His heightened senses told him this wasn't good enough against Jaiden.
How did Vince call him, again? The Undying Dude? Something like that. Lars recalled. I bet dude is waiting to roll the moment I shoot.
In other words, it didn't matter whether Lars went for a single bounce or a double bounce. The shot was bound to miss either way if Jaiden rolled in a timely fashion.
But, what if I shoot like this!? Lars lowered his aim a little. I bet ya gonna roll close to me, so...!
BAM! He fired toward the nearby jungle wall. Just then, Jaiden rolled forward. It's as if dude assumed the shot was going to hit him 100% so he had to juke it in advance.
His Trickshow is about to run out. Jaiden thought as he made his move. So, time to get in the guy's face and start swinging!
Jaiden's roll was perfectly timed. He jumped forward right after the Trickshot fired off, giving Lars no chance to adjust the aim at the last split second, something the guy was very much capable of.
So, there was no chance in hell that Trickshot could possibly hit Jaiden- WHISH!
