A chilling breeze swept through the air. She sensed something approaching her, yet it remained hidden, watching her without drawing too near.
Yue'er gripped the Divine Whip in her hand and chuckled, "This secret realm seems rather entertaining!"
Suddenly, the whip snapped out, cracking against a nearby tree trunk. A layer of bark peeled away, leaving a fresh gash. The chilling aura that had permeated the area vanished with the crack of the whip.
She glanced around, gave a light snort, then gathered her energy and darted forward. However, after covering only a short distance, a pack of fierce beasts closed in, baring their teeth and snarling at her.
Seeing this, Yue'er tucked away her whip with a smile and drew her dagger instead. Before the fierce beasts could pounce, she lunged at them first.
Perhaps stunned that a human would dare attack them, the fierce beasts hesitated a moment before baring their claws and lunging to bite her.
