Song Lingbo instructed the shadow guards to dispose of the body. Turning around, he saw several clan elders still standing frozen in place. He stepped forward and called out, "Elder?"
Seeing no response, he tapped the lead elder on the shoulder: "Elder?"
"Huh?"
The elder snapped back to attention. Recognizing Song Lingbo before him and recalling the earlier incident, he began, "Lingbo, that Lady Xuanyuan just said her name was..." His words were cut off.
"Let's discuss this back at the residence! Have them clean up here first." Song Lingbo said, giving them a meaningful glance. Though they were all servants of the same household, the Phoenix Empress' status made it inappropriate to discuss matters here.
"Right, right. We'll go inside to talk. Inside, inside." The Elder recovered, nodded, and took a deep breath. Watching the corpses being carried away for disposal, he still felt a bit dazed.
