Dante was an ordinary kid—well, as ordinary as someone could be when he was constantly arguing with his family. The town he lived in despised mutants simply for existing. His family felt the same way. Everyone did—except him. Dante never understood the hatred. What bothered him most was how selective it was. People didn’t despise other superpowered individuals like Captain America or Spider-Man. The hatred was reserved only for mutants, for reasons no one ever explained.
It didn’t matter, though. One day, Dante became a mutant himself.
And just like that, his life changed. He was forced to navigate a brand-new world—a mutant world—one he had only ever seen from the outside. Now standing at the beginning of this unfamiliar path, Dante had no idea what awaited him next. This was only the first step.

How the Story Will Work
This fanfiction follows Dante as he moves through the events of the Marvel comics. The story won’t diverge too heavily from canon. Dante will take part in events and influence situations, but not in ways that drastically alter major storylines. For example, even if someone appears to die because of his actions—or lack of them—they may simply be revived off-screen. That’s just how this world works. People come back all the time, and it won’t feel out of place.
Dante’s role in the universe will be similar to Wolverine’s. Wolverine’s main team is the X-Men, but he doesn’t stay confined to them. He joins the Avengers, works with the Fantastic Four, and moves across different corners of the Marvel world—yet at his core, he’s always an X-Man.
Dante will be the same. He may branch out, interact with other teams, and take part in different storylines, but his heart—and his place—will always be with the X-Men.
