Zade Erlaro was born from a forbidden union between a cursed elf and a vampire—two bloodlines never meant to mix. For six long years, he survived alone—fighting monsters, hunting to eat, and learning to kill. Then, at age fourteen, he was discovered and taken in by Mercury, a secretive organization tasked with exterminating Merks, the monstrous beings that threaten humanity’s survival.
It was there that Zade met Rare Cornelia—a boy with golden hair and eyes as blue as the sky. Mistaken for a girl at birth due to his name, Rare grew up with his own trauma after losing his parents to a Merk attack. Also taken in by Mercury, he was partnered with Zade for missions.
Though opposites in personality, Zade and Rare formed an unbreakable bond. Together, they fight the monstrous world that shaped them—one cold and ruthless, the other lively and bright, both wielding power no ordinary human could ever understand.
