Logan Jace, the son of one of the first Vanguards. Also known as the war hero, has refused to become a Vanguard. Well, it wasn't really his choice; Becoming a Vanguard means you have to have awakened an ability or get altering infusion that'll give you an ability. Having neither makes you a starless Vanguard till death. Well, what's the use of a Vanguard with no ability, they are useless against even the weakest of humanity's enemy...the Zorits. Oh... almost forgot. Humanity was at the brink of extinction or should I say, extermination. How about waking up one day to see a glassy two meter tall shiny guy with red or white dragonfly eyes and a muscular build that beats even the best body builder you can ever find. They were known as the Zorths. Well, there is a weaker, or let's say other version since these ones could be even more bad ass depending on the situation. The Xorths....insect like, low intelligence, high damage, high vitality pool, high defence and man eaters. Many Vanguards prefered to fight Zorths over Xorths. Well, the weakest of the trio, Zorits....known as the white eyed Zorths underlings. you'll find them out in the novel. One fateful day. Logan was once again chased by his dad's one time apprentice, somehow, he escaped and came across his high school ex.. Ivy. She introduced him to her space Raiders group and he joins.
