Fragements of the World

Danpen
“The world ended the day the Rift opened.” “Monsters poured through, cities fell, and those who survived were forever changed. Some humans adapted to the Rift’s energy, gaining inhuman abilities—but at a cost. They became known as the Fractured, feared and hunted by those who once called them human.” Subject 26B is one of them. For as long as he can remember, he has been nothing more than a test subject, locked away in a facility where the Collectors experiment on the Fractured. He has no memories of his past—only the cold walls, the endless experiments, and the unshakable feeling that he doesn’t belong here. But when he is suddenly sold to the Human Defense Force, he is thrown into a brutal world where survival is the only law. As he fights for his freedom, pieces of his past begin to surface, revealing a truth more terrifying than the Rift itself. Who was he before the experiments? Why does the Rift energy respond to him differently than the others? And what happens when he finally remembers what was taken from him? In a world shattered by the Rift, strength decides everything. But some things… are worth fighting for. But in a world where only the strongest endure… does the past even matter?

MAGICAPITIA

What if money was power? What if capital was magical? What if income was cultivation? What if a young man decided to destroy this unjust world of inequality and build a better one? That was exactly what Cæ (Cash) sought to do amid grief, anger, and hatred when he lost everything in an accident. Having come from nothing in the slums, his only goal had been to live a good life. By the age of twenty-two, he had finally managed to pull himself out of poverty with a decent job and romance. And then he lost everything he had ever built in an accident that left him in a coma for half a year. The world deprived him of the only person he had truly come to love. The predatory healthcare system burdened him with debt. The corrupt justice system deprived him of justice. The financial system robbed him of everything he owned. For the second time in his life, Cæ had been left with nothing. Well, almost nothing. The accident and the ensuing coma had altered his brain and mind, giving him an extraordinary talent for cultivating and mastering magic. He had been blessed with Acquired Savant Syndrome, a medical condition so rare that there were very few instances of it ever having occurred in history. It gave him endless potential and remarkable power. It gave him the power to destroy the world that he hated from the bottom of his heart. It gave him the power to destroy it and build a better one. And that was exactly what Cæ set out to do. --- This is my second novel, albeit my first time trying my hand at Royal Road. This story is centered around my desire to explore a story with a magical system centered around macroeconomics and politics. As the title suggests, this story will be centered around kingdom-building and progression fantasy. Romance is a coin flip. No smut. No harem. No systems. Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.
